Mat Pilates is a floor-based workout including safe and effective body-weight exercises to sculpt and strengthen while also improving mobility. Small props may be used to support the body, provide resistance, and add variety. These include resistance bands, Pilates balls, âmagic circlesâ and Yoga blocks. Excellent for abdominals, upper back and shoulders, chest, hips and thighs!
Reformer Fitness
Reformer Fitness offers a fantastic, full body workout using the Pilates reformer. Originally designed by the founder of Pilates, Joseph Pilates, a reformer is a bed-like machine with a flat cushioned platform, called the carriage, that rolls back and forth on wheels. A set of springs attaches the carriage at one end to add resistance and challenge the entire body. With consistent practice, Reformer Pilates can bring-about incredible results including improved overall strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance.
